I agree that The Henge of Denravi is pretty mutch forgotten nowdays.
It's a shame, since it's a beautiful place and Huge! The remains of the Giant tree, would be perfect for a stage/shrine ect.
The Huge water area with a waterfall and fountain.

Still, like the others say. It's a to remote location and has been loosing it's charm obviously since it's Alot easier to get to LA and it's a more central point in Tyria.

As soon as they realized? My first time through prophecies (almost 3 years ago now) I skipped the jungle that way on accident. I liked exploring, though.

I remember I didn't even know who "Councilor Markis" was, let alone why being a white mantle infiltrator was a bad thing.

That is unless you wanted to get the Free skills that are there and one of the best being Protective Spirit from Ventari's Refuge.
But even then, you don't have to get all the way to the Henge (or even touch a Maguuma mission for that matter). I did the skill quests with a new necro a month or so ago, and Maguuma still looks empty from the zoomed out map, even though it has a several minor outposts marked.

You posted in the wrong place.

And none of your ideas would succeed in making HoD a more useful place to go.

While this thread may belong in Sardelacs, I do think it would be a good idea to make the area more useful. It is a beautiful town and since it is more difficult to get to than LA, ANet should add something there to make it worth going to and revisiting. With such a large chunk of Prophesies being in the jungle, there should be enough quests you get from there to make doing the jungle missions worthwhile. Also, with it's closeness to Asuran territory, I think there should be at least one wandering/lost/rogue Asuran there to give a few quests.

EDIT: One good way to force people to do the Jungle quests would be to have Simon the Scribe show up there and give a quest that would require you to find some monuments in each of the missions to get a good weapon/offhand ala The Cities of Ascalon quest.

A major problem with HoD is that the storage locations are all poorly placed, they are all hidden and on the opposite sides from the NPCs making it a poor place to go to if u are just trying to merch something off or use one of the other vending NPCs.

The same can be said for other cities throughout the game, such as the Bone Palace or Cavalon, some cities are just underpopulated. Its probably because the other cities are near the travel button, people obviously prefer moving the mouse less...
